Course goal

Tento intenzivní kurz je určen pro zkušené administrátory Tru64, AIXu, Solarisu, Linuxu nebo jiného UNIX®-u, kteří potřebují porozumět rozdílům mezi HP-UX-em a standardním UNIX®-em. Je nezbytné, aby studenti tohoto kurzu měli zkušenosti s administrací UNIX®-u. Úspěšné zakončení kurzů HP-UX System and Network Administration I a II pomůže studentům připravit se na certifikační zkoušku HP-UX Certified System Administrator (CSA). Školení se skládá z přednášek (50 %) a praktických cvičení (50 %) na serverech HP. Školení vedená v anglickém jazyce podléhají 20% příplatku k uvedené ceně. / Courses held in English have 20% extra fee to the above price.

This fast-paced intensive course is designed for experienced Tru64, AIX, Solaris, Linux, or other UNIX® administrators who need to understand the differences between HP-UX and standard UNIX. It is essential that students have existing UNIX system administration experience. The course is 50 percent lecture and 50 percent hands-on labs using HP servers. Successful completion of the course will help prepare students for the HP-UX Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification exam.

Content

At the conclusion of this course you should be able to:

  • Configure and manage HP-UX peripherals and device files.
  • Configure and manage disk devices via LVM.
  • Configure and manage JFS file systems.
  • Configure network connectivity and services.
  • Configure kernel drivers, subsystems, and tunable parameters.
  • Shutdown, boot, and reboot HP-UX.
  • Install HP-UX OS software, applications, and patches.
